Helping you confidently navigate school and day care systems, advocate for your child’s needs and maintain deep, lifelong connection.

This course is for you if:

You are 'in' the school or day care system, but not wanting to become part 'of' it, at the expense of your child’s needs or your family values.

School or day care mornings feel stressful, emotionally loaded, or unpredictable.

Drop-offs take forever, any separation, or transitions feel hard for you or your child.

You want to support your child emotionally, but feel unsure what to do instead of resorting to rewards or punishments.

You are navigating traditional school or day care challenges and want practical, daily, connection-based tools.

You are dealing with bullying, exclusion, anxiety, or power struggles.

You need to communicate yours or your child's needs to the day care or school but don't know how to make clear requests.

You just want your child to come out of the school system unscathed and with as minimal trauma as possible.

The truth is, most parents feel unprepared for entering the systems:

Children enter school and day care systems anywhere from infancy through to early childhood.

For many families, this means long hours of separation each day, often before children have the language or developmental capacity to fully make sense of what is happening.

For parents, this can bring up a lot.

The challenges don’t always look dramatic on the outside, but they can feel heavy on the inside.

It might be the dreaded drop-off, where your child clings, cries, or resists separation, while well-meaning educators reassure you that this is normal.

It might be the quiet ache of not being there physically, and wondering how your child is really coping through the day.

Or the uncertainty around how to communicate with schools or educators in ways that truly honour your child’s needs, without conflict or feeling like “that” parent.

Sometimes it shows up later as big feelings after pick-up, resistance in the mornings, or an exhaustion that doesn’t quite make sense.

If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone.

Surviving School offers practical, day-to-day tools that support families from morning routines, through the school or day care day, and into evenings and bedtime, helping parents meet these moments with more clarity, connection, and confidence.

What Surviving School offers instead:

Surviving School is designed to support parents with practical, connection-based tools that can be woven into everyday life, without adding more pressure or overwhelm.

Inside the course, you’re invited to learn ways to:

Stay connected before, during, and after the day, even when you’re not physically together

Why I created Surviving School:

I created Surviving School because I have walked this path myself.

As a parent, I know how vulnerable it can feel to hand your child over to school or day care systems, while trying to stay true to your values, your willingness and your child’s needs.

I also suffered intense bullying and school trauma that left lasting effects on me throughout my adult life, until I found Aware Parenting and the Marion Method healing work.

Alongside this, I have my own lived experience now with my daughter, which I share regularly about on social media.

I am an Aware Parenting Instructor and Marion Method Mentor & Teacher, and I have supported hundreds of families navigating school and day care challenges over the past 9+ years and counting!

This course brings together trauma informed practical tools, emotional understanding, and approaches that support both children and parents to move through school and day care life with more clarity, connection, and trust.

What other parents have said:

I trust parents to know what support feels right for their family.

If you join Surviving School and, after spending some time with the course, you don’t feel clearer or more confident about your next steps, I invite you to email me within 30 days.

I’ll offer you a free 15-minute private mentoring call to help you feel supported and oriented moving forward.

What ages is this course for?

Surviving School supports families with children in day care, preschool, and primary school. The tools and ideas are adaptable across ages and stages, and many parents continue to return to the course as their child grows.

What if I don’t have time to complete the whole course?

You don’t need to complete everything at once.

Many parents begin with the Fast Start Guide or choose the modules that feel most relevant to what their family is navigating right now.

You’re invited to move at your own pace.

Will this help if my child is experiencing bullying, anxiety, or school refusal?

Yes. The course includes guidance for understanding what children are communicating underneath stress, powerlessness, or overwhelm, and offers ways to support them with connection and clarity. Some families also choose to explore my other course called The Anti-Bullying Blueprint to dive deeper into bullying behaviour, effects and trauma.

What if I’ve tried other parenting approaches and they didn’t work?

Surviving School is not a one-size-fits-all method.
The tools are flexible and invitational, allowing you to adapt them to your child, your family, and your values.

Many parents find the Aware Parenting and Marion Method approaches very supportive because they honours both children and parents in all aspects.

And remember: if you complete the full course and don’t feel more confident in how to support your child, I’ll gift you a free private 15 mins mentoring call to personally guide you forward.

Is this course only about school?

No. While the focus is school and day care life, the tools and principles often ripple into other areas of parenting and life in general, including mornings, bedtime, sibling dynamics, and family communication, as well as, your own reparenting and healing journey!

What if I join and it’s not the right fit?

You’re supported by a gentle guarantee.
If after spending time with the course you don’t feel clearer or more confident after the first 30 days, you’re welcome to reach out and receive a free 15-minute private mentoring call so I can support you to feel more confident and ready to move forward.

Can I receive more personalised support?

Yes. Some parents choose to explore one-to-one mentoring alongside or after the course. My mentoring journeys are offered in limited intakes twice a year, in January and July for 8 spots only. If this feels supportive for you, you’re welcome to reach out and see if we are a fit. You can also see the package information on my website at https://www.peacefulparenting.com.au/1-1-support

Would extra support around bullying and social challenges feel helpful?

Many parents notice that once school routines feel steadier, questions around friendships, exclusion, or bullying start to surface.

The Anti-Bullying Support Blueprint offers gentle, practical guidance to help you:

  • Understand what’s really happening underneath bullying dynamics

  • Support your child without shaming, fixing, or pressure

  • Communicate with the school from a place of clarity and steadiness

  • Reduce the risk of long-term unhealed school experiences

This course works beautifully alongside Surviving School and can be explored at your own pace.
