with Aware Parenting and the
Marion Method reparenting work.
This course is for you if:
You are 'in' the school or day care system, but not wanting to become part 'of' it, at the expense of your child’s needs or your family values.
School or day care mornings feel stressful, emotionally loaded, or unpredictable.
Drop-offs take forever, any separation, or transitions feel hard for you or your child.
You want to support your child emotionally, but feel unsure what to do instead of resorting to rewards or punishments.
You are navigating traditional school or day care challenges and want practical, daily, connection-based tools.
You are dealing with bullying, exclusion, anxiety, or power struggles.
You need to communicate yours or your child's needs to the day care or school but don't know how to make clear requests.
You just want your child to come out of the school system unscathed and with as minimal trauma as possible.
The truth is, most parents feel unprepared for entering the systems:
Children enter school and day care systems anywhere from infancy through to early childhood.
For many families, this means long hours of separation each day, often before children have the language or developmental capacity to fully make sense of what is happening.
For parents, this can bring up a lot.
The challenges don’t always look dramatic on the outside, but they can feel heavy on the inside.
It might be the dreaded drop-off, where your child clings, cries, or resists separation, while well-meaning educators reassure you that this is normal.
It might be the quiet ache of not being there physically, and wondering how your child is really coping through the day.
Or the uncertainty around how to communicate with schools or educators in ways that truly honour your child’s needs, without conflict or feeling like “that” parent.
Sometimes it shows up later as big feelings after pick-up, resistance in the mornings, or an exhaustion that doesn’t quite make sense.
If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone.
Surviving School offers practical, day-to-day tools that support families from morning routines, through the school or day care day, and into evenings and bedtime, helping parents meet these moments with more clarity, connection, and confidence.
What Surviving School offers instead:

Why I created Surviving School:
I created Surviving School because I have walked this path myself.
As a parent, I know how vulnerable it can feel to hand your child over to school or day care systems, while trying to stay true to your values, your willingness and your child’s needs.
I also suffered intense bullying and school trauma that left lasting effects on me throughout my adult life, until I found Aware Parenting and the Marion Method healing work.
Alongside this, I have my own lived experience now with my daughter, which I share regularly about on social media.
I am an Aware Parenting Instructor and Marion Method Mentor & Teacher, and I have supported hundreds of families navigating school and day care challenges over the past 9+ years and counting!
This course brings together trauma informed practical tools, emotional understanding, and approaches that support both children and parents to move through school and day care life with more clarity, connection, and trust.
What other parents have said:
I trust parents to know what support feels right for their family.
If you join Surviving School and, after spending some time with the course, you don’t feel clearer or more confident about your next steps, I invite you to email me within 30 days.
I’ll offer you a free 15-minute private mentoring call to help you feel supported and oriented moving forward.
